This Privacy Policy explains how TopFoxx ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the TopFoxx Virtual Try-On application at topfoxx.app and related services.

1. Introduction

TopFoxx provides an AI-powered virtual try-on experience for eyewear. We built this policy to be plain-language and specific about exactly what happens with your photo, your browsing data, and your shopping activity. If any part is unclear, contact us using the details in Section 14.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide: your photo (camera capture or upload), first name, style and face-shape preferences from onboarding or the Style Quiz, chat messages sent to our AI stylist, and any content you submit through contact forms.

Information collected automatically: IP address, approximate location, device type, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, features used, session duration, and referring URLs.

Shopping information: items saved or added to your bag, discount codes applied, and order details processed through our checkout provider, Shopify.

3. AI Photo Processing

Your photo is not stored on our servers. When you use virtual try-on, your photo is transmitted securely to our AI processing service solely to generate the try-on image. Once the image is generated and returned to your device, the uploaded photo is discarded. It is not retained, used to train AI models, or shared with any party beyond what is required to render the image.

Chat messages sent to our AI stylist ("Natasha") are transmitted to generate a response and are not retained beyond your active session. Your training context (such as preferences or face shape) may be included in a request to personalize the response, but it is not stored by the AI service provider beyond that request.

4. How We Use Information

To generate your virtual try-on image and power the AI stylist chat
To operate, maintain, and improve the app
To process orders and transactions through Shopify
To apply discounts and promotions you qualify for (e.g., completing the Style Quiz)
To send transactional communications (such as order confirmations)
To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
To comply with legal obligations

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage and session storage to remember your saved frames, bag contents, quiz answers, discount status, and preferences so you don't have to re-enter them. These are essential to app functionality and cannot be disabled without breaking core features. We do not use third-party advertising cookies for cross-site behavioral tracking on this app.

We share information only as necessary to operate the service:

Shopify: processes product data, carts, orders, payments, and customer accounts
AI processing provider: processes photos and chat messages solely to generate try-on images and stylist responses, via a secure server-side proxy
Hosting and infrastructure providers: support the technical operation of the app
Law enforcement or regulators: only when required by law or to protect our legal rights

7. We Do Not Sell Your Data

TopFoxx does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for money or other valuable consideration, and has not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not share your personal information for third-party cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Data Retention

Photos used for virtual try-on are not retained after your image is generated. Local browser data (saved frames, preferences, bag) persists only on your own device until you clear it or it is overwritten. Order and transaction records are retained by Shopify in accordance with standard business, tax, and legal requirements.

9. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of your personal information, to correct inaccurate information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share your data as described in Section 7), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

TopFoxx is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. International Transfers

TopFoxx is operated from the United States. If you access the app from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.

12. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, authenticated API access for AI processing, and secure server-side proxies that keep API keys off your device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable practices.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of TopFoxx after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
